PRIDE DN COURSES INFORMATION

PRIDE DRY NEEDLING INTRODUCTORY (LEVEL-1) COURSE

Course Overview

It’s a new way to evaluate and treat the conditions related to neuromyofascial pain & dysfunction found in majority of orthopedic population (acute & chronic).

Our Introductory Course includes the details about the Neuromyofascial pain & trigger points. It also includes Assessment & use of Dry Needling Techniques to treat trigger points. It covers 23+ muscles which are safer to practice at the introductory level with basic knowledge of Dry Needling.

This 2 days’ course is meticulously designed to keep the time constrained issues & economical factors in mind.

There is a similar scenario in developing countries like INDIA & across south east ASIA. In majority of these countries, onus is on the physiotherapists only, to update their knowledge & to learn new techniques. So, doing the CPD Courses is extremely important & sparing time for it is equally challenging.

We have considered these issues and designed these Dry Needling Courses with maximum content in shortest possible time & economical fee structures.

We also evaluate the participant’s knowledge & skills during the course by conducting a written & practical test. We maintain highest standards & quality in delivering these courses with regularly updated content & evidence based practices.

Course Objectives

  • To define myofascial trigger points & neurological presentations of neuromuscular dysfunction
  • To review the latest available literature & current studies supporting efficacy and rationale of Dry Needling treatment
  • To instruct the application of Dry Needling for the majority of orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions
  • To able to develop a habit of doing comprehensive assessment of the patient
  • Review anatomy of the structures included in our introductory course
  • Discuss safety, contraindications & indications for Dry Needling treatment

It involves a mix of detailed lectures & supervised practical to give precision to your needling skills.

First, in South East ASIA, we provide the combination of the Ultrasound imaging technology in to the course which enables:

  • In-depth anatomy of the structures (including fascia, muscles & blood vessels)
  • Gives better capability to teach safe & effective Dry Needling techniques
  • To understand the danger zones including ribs & front of the thigh
  • Real time Ultrasound Imaging is used to teach the muscle boundaries & bony landmarks with better precision
  • Real Time Ultrasound Imaging is used to visualise Trigger point complex & a local twitch response in the muscle

Course Objectives

  • To discuss various latest rsearch & clinical studies in the field of Dry Needling.
  • To understand the needling safety procedures & precautions to avoid complications eg: Pneumothorax
  • To able to practice self imposed S.O.P.s (Standard operating Procedures)
  • To able to practice Ortho-Neuropathic assessment techniques
  • Practice the Advanced Needling techniques for the muscles around dorsal spine, complex muscles within the posterior hip region
  • To understand the Advanced Dry Needling techniques using ultrasound imaging technology by:
    – Ensuring the needle placement within a 3D environment
    – Showcasing the muscle response to the needle insertion including LTR (local twitch response)
    – Showing a detailed orientation of the structures including Ribs, pleura
